Exploring the Trail
Continue westward downhill to Wadi Abu 'Aruq, then head east to visit the Nabataean site at Al-Sada. This site features ancient ruins indicating continuous habitation, with flint artifacts suggesting.
From Al-Rajef, head north towards Al-Dhurwa. Continue descending along a dirt path for about 3.5 km until you reach stunning views at the valley's bottom. Head slightly east to see the Jarrah Dam, which still collects water in the area. Below the dam, observe an old round stone building, likely used for lime production. After visiting the dam, head west to Wadi Tajra, a natural gorge extending for 7 km until you reach Al-Sada. Continue through Wadi Tajra until you arrive at Al-Sada spring, a great resting point surrounded by oleander trees. After leaving the water source, you will exit the valley (as it connects to the rugged Al-Sada waterfalls, which are not recommended for descent). The trail then veers south and heads west to a higher area overlooking the Al-Sada waterfalls and the archaeological site. Please be cautious, as volcanic gravel can make the path slippery.
