Petra by Night invites you on an unforgettable journey through the candlelit Siq to the majestic Treasury, where ancient history comes alive through a spectacular fusion of light, sound, and storytelling. Follow a glowing path of 2,000 candles through the Siq canyon, their flickering light revealing ancient carvings as you approach the Treasury in magical silence.

First launched in 1998, the experience was reimagined in May 2025 to blend the warmth of its original candlelit charm with cutting-edge projection mapping and immersive narration. Whether it’s your first time in Petra or a return visit, Petra by Night offers a unique and moving way to connect with the Nabataean legacy. Let the light guide you—through history, mystery, and the unforgettable silence of Petra after dark.

Ticket Information

Petra by Night runs five nights a week, from Sunday to Thursday. The experience begins at 8:30 PM and ends around 10:30 PM. Tickets are priced at 30 Jordanian Dinars per person. Children under the age of 10 can join free of charge.

Visitor guidelines

Tickets: Valid only on the issue date; reselling is prohibited, and day visits not included.
Arrival: Arrive 10 minutes early for check-in and verification. Please note, this is a group experience.

Silence: Keep phones on silent; maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
Safety: Watch your step on uneven terrain; no staying after the event.
